So I made this christmas present for my lovely friend Taylor :)
Since Wall-e is one of her favorite movies, I thought I made this little embroidery hoop art thingy for her. It’s based off of this drawing. I’m actually quite proud of this. It might just be the best present I’ve ever made.
P.S. If you look closely, you’ll notice that the christmas lights are Eve :P

danny-brito:

So around this time last year I got an email from someone at Disney asking me if I wanted to take part in a project involving my drawings but didn’t say exactly what it was, I was kept in the dark while the people at Disney thought up of the proposal but they wanted to make sure I was on board with working with them.
Fast forward a few months and the WonderGround Gallery is born. It’s located in Downtown Disney at Disneyland California. I’ve been keeping this on the down low until now, and if you know me at all you know I LOVE Disney and I’m terrible at keeping secrets, so this one was a doozy.
The first show at WonderGround is of artwork inspired by Disney-Pixar films, as well as pieces inspired by Mickey Mouse. The opening of the show is June 9th, so if you’re in California, make sure you make it out to this event! I wish I was going but I’m moving soon and can’t afford to fly out at the moment, so let me live vicariously through you.
Above is my piece “Merida the Brave,” inspired by Disney-Pixar’s Brave. I have another piece in the show but it’s going to be revealed at the opening. It’s originally 16” x 20” done in colored pencils with chalk pastels on paper. I’ll post progress photos later this afternoon.
